It's Summer Art Camp time!!
The time is here! We've been excited about our upcoming Art Camps and it is time to get signed up! Camps start next week and go throughout the month of June.
Class times and duration vary to accomodate many schedules. We're so excited for all of the things to be created this summer!
Week 1 June 1-5

Week 2 June 8-12
Session A: mornings (all week) Full STEAM Ahead

Week 3 June 15-19
Session A: mornings (all week) Sculpture
Session B: afternoons (all week) Ceramics
Week 4 June 22-26

Session B: afternoons (all week) Paper Capers
There will be an Art Camp Culmination Show & Reception on June 30th 5:00 - 7:30 pm with artwork on display throughout the month of July. All family and friends are invited to attend!
Things you should know:
Camp will be held at the Oskaloosa Art Center (1701 3rd Ave E, Ste #3, Oskaloosa, IA 52577)
Morning Sessions: 9:00 - noon
Afternoon Sessions: 12:30 - 3:30
Dress for a messy good time.
If attending all day, please bring a sack lunch, snack & water bottle.
All supplies will be provided unless otherwise noted.
For ages 6 - 12 yrs old.

Class descriptions:
Blast from the Past I - Follow the paths of past artists. Create your own works inspired by famous art masters.
Wet 'n Wild Creations - Come experiment with watercolor paints. Try your hand at various painting techniques and learn about the amazing ways you can use watercolors.
Creature Creations - Art inspired by animals!
Full STEAM Ahead - Science, Technology, Engineering and Math all with an ART focus!
Printmaking - Explorations in relief printing, monoprint and stamping. Learn a variety of printmaking techniques and make your own prints!
Figures - Come create 3-dimensional figures out of plaster gauze. Then make them come to life with some paint and fun prop creations.
Sculpture - All types of materials will be utilized in making 3-dimensional creations! Wire, tape, plastic wrap, come have fun with it all!
Ceramics - Learn handbuilding techniques in clay. Several projects will be made using coil rolling, slab building, and pinch techniques.
Blast from the Past II - Continue on our journey through time learning about the various artists that have inspired us for centuries.
Super Heroes - Find your inner hero! Invent your own SUPER HERO (or villain . Create a comic and wardrobe appropriate for your fantastical character.
Paper Capers - Paper fun from folding to flying. Make your own paper. Come try out the art of Origami paper folding. Make and fly paper airplanes. Build paper sculptures. We're going to go crazy with paper!
